Dear Bayside Family,
One year ago we had BRIX (Building Roots in Christ) commitment Sunday celebration service. Through your sacrificial giving God has done so many incredible things…
On August 29th, 2010 we held our first worship services and dedicated the building to the Lord. Since then God continues to bless and we are as committed as ever to letting our community know that they matter to God, we matter to each other and their kids matter to us.
We’ve seen:
- 142 Decisions for Christ
- 30 People Baptized
- 300 People in 31 different Life Groups are meeting once a week
- 140 Men attend first Men’s Breakfast
- 120 Ladies attend the first Women’s Christmas Brunch
We’ve been able to start:
- 45 Degrees (4th and 5th grade ministry)
- Middle school worship band
- High School Sunday morning study
- Hosting the Gathering Inn (with the help of over 60 volunteers)
- 100 Days of Fitness (300 participants)
- Sewing Ministry
- Craftsmen for Christ
- Healing Hearts Ministry
- Married Life Ministry
- Quest Senior Ministries
We’ve seen growth in:
- Sunday Morning Worship (avg. over 800 attendance per week)
- Discovery Bay Children’s Ministry (40% increase in attendance)
- Kidstuf (150 in attendance)
- Elevate Youth Nights (over 80 kids in attendance twice a week)
- Sunday morning Adult Classes (25 in attendance)
On Sunday, June 12th, 2011 we are having a BRIX Commitment Sunday encouraging our over 700 new guests to join us in a BRIX 24 month pledge. If you are currently giving above and beyond to BRIX we want to say thank you so much. If you would like to join us here are 3 ways to help you determine how to give to BRIX:
- Pray – This is the most important step in preparing your heart to respond to God’s call to action. Ask Him what He would have you give to make this vision a reality for Bayside West Community Church. Remember, these gifts are above and beyond your regular tithes.
- Leave Room For Faith – Believe God to provide what He impresses you to give, even if the amount is greater than the resources you can readily identify. Our greatest hopes and our greatest dreams are just the beginning for God. Expect a miracle!
- Give Sacrificially – Nowhere do the scriptures teach equal giving, but God does expect equal sacrifice. There is no limit to what God will do in, for and through a group of people who commit themselves to sacrificial giving.
I am so grateful to be a part of a community that is deeply committed to bringing God’s love to the world around us.
I love being your pastor,
Pastor Chuck Wysong
