Discovery Bay exists to partner with parents in raising kids who are in a life-changing and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Our weekend services are designed with you and your family in mind.
Here are some things that you can expect from us:
1) We will keep your kids safe. We strive to create a safe place where kids can explore what it means to follow God. All volunteers are screened using Live Scan technology.
2) We will teach lessons that are creative & relevant to today’s kid. We will make the Bible come alive to your child every week through creative storytelling, energetic worship, and cool activities.
3) We will shepherd kids in small groups. We’ll give your child opportunities to build friendships wither kids their age and trusted adult and youth leaders who can help them grow in their faith.
4) We’ll provide tools for parents too! We’re passionate about helping parents be the best parent they can be so we’ll always provide tools to help you lead your child at home!
4) We will have FUN! We want kids to walk away from Discovery Bay begging to come back again so we’ll make sure that everyone is having a good time!

New Children’s Director!
We would like to introduce to you our new Children’s Director Rob McGee. Rob McGee is passionate about equipping the children of today to be the church of tomorrow. He received his BA at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago,IL and then went on to complete his MDiv at Golden Gate Seminary inMill Valley,CA.
He partnered with his wife, Holly, in co-founding a ministry called Family Small Groups which seeks to aid families with young children in discovering core truths of the Bible together. He believes that ministry to children should be the primary focus and drive of today’s church. His experience in coaching parents and ministry leaders in how to best grow the faith of young children and his years of working with children in a variety of ministry contexts make him a valuable asset to the team at Bayside West Community Church.
His most important work is in guiding and equipping his own children, Silas (4 years old) and Ruby (18 months), towards discovering the journey that God has planned for their lives.
