Mission Statement – We want to assimilate all believers and seekers into communities of life groups where discipleship, spiritual growth, fellowship and service take place.
Vision Statement- We believe that life groups build Christian Community and help people walk with Christ. Life Groups provide an atmosphere of acceptance, affirmation and confidentiality where participants can develop trust and be challenged to grow in Christian discipleship. During life’s transitions and challenges, life groups can provide a ministry of care and support for participants.
Life groups are a vital way for Christians to discover and develop their own spiritual gifts, find a place of ministry within the body of Chirst, grow in their understanding and appreciation of scripture and put their faith into action. Acts 2:46-47- “Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. they broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all people. And the Lord added to their numbers daily those who were being saved.”
Purpose Statement - Life groups help people grow in Christ like maturity through interactive Bible study. They are designed for people to connect with others and where building authentic friendships really happens. Life groups are a safe place where seekers are invited to ask questions and begin a relationship with the living God. They are a laboratory for leadership development in which new leaders are trained to start new groups. Life groups are encouraged to make a difference by serving together inside and outside the church. Hebrews 10:24-25- “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Life groups are the key way to get connected and be encouraged to grow spiritually here at Bayside West. We have a variety of Life groups that are waiting for you to join.
